Guess i'm full of shit, because I prefer the album version - one of my favorite Radiohead songs. This version almost sounds like a mashup of Videotape and Jigsaw Falling Into Place.

The original version of "Jigsaw" was very dark and heavy and all electric guitars, more like "Bodysnatchers". I was surprised when I heard the album version and it had a lighter feel and Thom had switched to acoustic guitar, which is kind of odd. I like both versions though.

What do you mean by "what they did to Videotape"? I love that song -- is it wildly different from an earlier version or something?

Oh yeah. Some people prefer the album version, including the band themselves, but they are all full of shit.

I don't know...This is good and all, but it doesn't accomplish much different from the studio version, to my ears. The intensity ramps up more in the second half of the song, but I think that might have fallen flat on the album, after heights of Bodysnatchers and Jigsaw.

I can't say I prefer one version to the other, but I think the studio cut is a better fit as the album closer.

I hadn't heard that Basement Tapes version of Motion Picture Soundtrack before - prefer the album version. Just like with Videotape not only is a better overall song, but works better as an album closer

This is great news. The Shrine is across the street from where I went to college. Saw many amazing shows there. What a perfect venue for them. Sure, it sucks they're not doing more shows, but I'm not surprised at all. I think their "hit every major urban area in the US/EU" days are likely over. Definitely making the trip for this.

Mrs. Trag and I are seriously considering traveling for the Mexico City show, but have some concerns given the drug crime/kidnappings in Mexico. Is it a safe city? Is it conceivable we could spend a couple nights there, take in some sights, and attend the show without being at any serious risk? Or is it one of those cities where you're sort of expected to watch your back at all times?

How thoroughly vandalizing a once-gorgeous song with random clicking sounds constitutes "pure emotional sentiment", I will never understand. They must have been smoking some serious crack that day.
