Interesting. Even if the negative early screener reactions are overblown bad word of mouth can be a killer. Especially with the strange undercurrent throughout the interwebs that you have to chose sides with DC v Marvel. Seems just as many people want this to suck as much as those who hope its good. I get why studios are obsessed with box office but even the average movie going public are fixated on it. If this movie doesn't hit a projected number my grandma will know about it and say it was a failure. I have a feeling this will be more review proof than The Lone Ranger or John Carter since those are properties whose time has passed but you never know. Feels like a similar set up to those two movies. Course Titanic was supposed to bomb too.

It's MoS all over again. It'll make the money it's going to make. It'll blow up it's opening weekend and steadily decline from there. But the money will be made and that's all that matters. WB isn't going to look beyond that. Hell, it'll probably have made all it's money back BEFORE the movie opens.

Read: Snyder isn't bland enough to reach Marvel-level success.

That's not at all how I read it. But, yeah, maybe.
Zach Snyder has one tone/aesthetic he seems capable of, and it just may not work for a comic book universe.

Of course this is just a rumor. Maybe it's great. It has made me excited for a video game style batman movie, which is the one big screen batman we've yet to see

I don't want to totally discount this before I see it. I will see it. Reviews will determine whether or not I see it in theaters, though.

I guess the overall feeling is that this movie will be a mess, the second trailer failed to get a good impression while the second Suicide Squad trailer was universally cheered.

My feeling is that this movie is not going to be good at all, there will be a moment here and there, but it will be a disaster. And yes, after this you should make a good Batman movie instead of Justice League.

People really need to stop using "video game" as a term for style

But as a shortcut here it works. And I get it. And I don't mind it.

You know exactly what it means, and it's not being used pejoratively

its too safe to be a disaster. it will be middling and ultimately forgotten, but will make enough to justify WB plodding forward with this nonsense.

At the very least!

But I do hope it's really good.

I am completely indifferent to this movie and im fairly certain i will not go see it in the theaters. However, it takes a lot for me to go spend the money and catch a movie in a theater these days. I used to love spending time at movies when i was younger but the older I get i realize i rather just wait, save the money, and watch it at home at my convenience. Unless it is star wars, of course.

Part of what turns me off about this is because everything feels forced. Characters appear to be shoe horned into the movie, not for the sake of the story, but for the opportunity to capitalize on all these upcoming movies and spin offs to rival Marvel. Huge turn off for me.

True. It doesnt seem to make sense to have Wonder Woman here at all.

:?

Based on the trailers, Wonder Woman seems to make way more sense than Louis, Lex, Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash and even fucking Doomsday. She's not the thing I would point as evidence of things feeling forced.
