I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I'm voting for doug and chud.

I like Jorge's out-of-left-field picks (like "Summer Place") but I feel like his first two picks were soft (there were a lot of really good songs on the table, and those ones are so-so in my book). Dr Zaius is a powerhouse, and that helps put doug over the top--the only song on his team that I feel like is kind-of a stinker is "The Garbage Man Can"; I feel like it's a half-assed rip-off.

EJ's team is very strong--it's obvious why The Monorail Song woulda been picked first in like 9/10 drafts. When I wrote up the rules and was thinking what would constitute a song, I purposely wrote them with the S-M-R-T song in mind, because little musical moments like that give the show such great character. But it sort of falls off after that--except for "My Ding-A-Ling," which is fucking golden. But chud's team is solid from top to bottom--"We Do" is an obvious early choice, but how the hell did "Baby on Board" drop to the final round? And "New Orleans" is one of my favorite songs the show has ever done. And I'm not afraid to vote for a stronger team--come at me, bro!

Platy and Doug each had four songs I would have wanted. Doug's roster was a little deeper (I think the second best band bit is a great set up and conclusion but the song isn't anything), but I like Platy's songs just a bit more, so he gets my vote.

theplatypus
"See My Vest" performed by Mr. Burns
"We Put the Spring in Springfield" performed by Homer, Belle, and other residents of Springfield

"Señor Burns" performed by Tito Puente
"Good Morning Starshine" performed by Mr. Burns, Leonard Nimoy, and the people of Springfield

doug rr
"Dr. Zaius" peformed by Troy McClure and Apes
Flinstones Theme Parody performed by Homer
"The Garbage Man Can" performed by Homer and Ensemble
"Saxamaphone" performed by Homer

The Stonecutters song and the Monorail song basically cancel each other out. Those are the two best songs on the show. I MAY prefer stonecutters slightly, but it's negligible.

New Orleans and Plow King are good, but the Sunshine, Lollipos, and Rainbows pick was inspired.

EJ has the SMRT 'song'and the leader sequence is an all time favorite, but in the end I think EJ has a few too many musical bits, and not enough songs.

Vote for Chud.
