A lot of Broncos fans want him, but I don't see how they can fit him into their cap.Kaius wrote:https://www.instagram.com/p/BBsN17qp4Xl/
Not at all surprising, but it will still be odd to see him in a different uniform. So, where does Forte end up? A playoff contender, surely.

It's not really their "style", but Forte in New England could be like soft core football porn.

What do you mean not their style? Forte could have another 100 catch season there. And hate it again.Kaius wrote:It's not really their "style", but Forte in New England could be like soft core football porn.

As in they don't typically go after 30 year old free agent running backs, especially if they have to get in a bidding war with another team that will surely pay more than he's worth at this point.Fuck You Jobu wrote:What do you mean not their style? Corey Dillon turned 30 the year the Patriots traded a 2nd round pick for him.Kaius wrote:As in they don't typically go after 30 year old free agent running backs, especially if they have to get in a bidding war with another team that will surely pay more than he's worth at this point.

I thought about that, but trading a pick is a bit more circumstantial than going after high profile offensive weapons on the FA market. I think there are a handful of teams that will make Forte very player friendly offers. I just don't see the Pats being one of them.

I think it's unlikely too, but I wouldn't rule it out.Kaius wrote:I thought about that, but trading a pick is a bit more circumstantial than going after high profile offensive weapons on the FA market. You almost have to be a good pass-catching back to get paid in the league now. Forte will find a nice paycheck somewhere because of his skillz.

It is one of the reasons I hope Tampa doesn't over pay for Martin, his hands are awful.

Tampa is one of the teams I see making an honest effort for Forte.

I wouldn't mind if they didn't re-sign Martin, kept Sims, and signed Forte.Kaius wrote:Tampa is one of the teams I see making an honest effort for Forte.

This was really disguised well when he was at BSU. Very easy to do when Kellen Moore is your QB.E.H. Ruddock wrote:It is one of the reasons I hope Tampa doesn't over pay for Martin, his hands are awful.

How often is a RB > 30 considered "High profile offense weapons"? My guess is not often, so no teams, much less the Patriots, get into a bidding war for them.Kaius wrote:"High profile offense weapons"

Another sneaky good offseason for the Bears. I like what Pace and Fox are doing with FA'cy. they've addressed the biggest weaknesses on the team with proven solid, young talent. It should give them some flexibility in the draft to go best available.

Though I do like what they've done so far. The defense should be pretty decent last year. They were mediocre last year and horrible against the run This could help them become top 10.
