Just watched a video about Pshycometry and Rey's Force Vision. Pretty fucking badass. So she's apparently seeing events through the object. It's essentially the object's "memory." I didn't see the scene that way, and it really enhances things for me.

It's apparently something that's canon now. It's in one of the animated series. Anyway...

And apparently very few Jedi have had that power and the one's that have were prohibited from using it.

Robin Hobb kinda ages ago came up with that first, in her amazing Farseer books(the Assassins trilogy)..if you got a certain liquid(liquid skill) on your fingertips, you'd be forever sorta cursed with everytime you touched an object, youd see its whole history..so if it was wooden, youd see all its previous owners, the craftsman making it, it being part of a tree..but if you let it go too far back, youd get lost in the skill(her version of the force but a power generally only accessible to the royal lineage).


I'm gonna go the other way and say Luke planted those memories and flash forwards there for her in the lightsaber.
He knows what day shes gonna arrive and is ready for her when she does. it *might* be the Force calling to her, but it's all been set up to look like Luke left the two map pieces and whatnot for her to be the one to come get him. He also knows Han has died and Kylo etc are on the rise and looking for him.

Force ghost Yoda and or Obi Wan are almost guaranteed for this film too.

Luke planting the images could be interesting, too. But I love the idea that the object does this automatically. Plays into the idea of The Force being something than binds all things (even objects). And it helps me understand what Rey sees better. Really cool concept.

Either way.... I think Ep 8 is going to destroy me.

I love that thought Dct...it rhymes back perfctly to Yoda's take on the force..which should really be the only one..(the rock..the ship..the tree) rathe than the midclorian bollox..

the dvd is gonna have about 7 deleted scenes..i'm not interested in them

really dont get how Abrams can be against an extended edition/directors cut, but then be ok with adding deleted scenes..but anyways..


hope there's tons of making of docos..love that shit..the prequels were crap but even their maing of docos were great

A Swedish website called CDON.Com has Star Wars: The Force Awakens up for pre-order. It also has listed all the special features for the two-disc set. This is not at all official, but in my opinion it seems pretty legit if this site is selling the Blu-ray. Check out the list of features:

This all sounds very cool! I would imagine we may get a exclusive at one of the major retailers that will include one more disc with purely special features on it. I’m very interested in the feature entitled ” The Story Awakens: The Table Read.” I wonder if that was from the very first table read when the cast took its first cast photo. If the Blu-ray truly is being released on April 5th, Lucasfilm should be announcing it any day now. Huge thanks to Niklas for the heads-up!

It was said officially of that force vision that it was a blend of Luke and Rey's memories combined and may contain flash forwards as well as flashbacks..
