I blind-bought Bridge of Spies and I can't wait for it to be delivered. I have a good feeling about it.

Lethal Weapon marathon on the idiot box. Did we all just go stupid for a little while? These movies are like bad tv shows.

Honeymoon.

That was weird, but effective. Seemed like a really cool x files episode without mulder and scully.

Creed.

Well, i hated it. Sly was amazing, but what the fuck was that? There was no passion at all. I dont even think that director liked those characters.

I saw Wings of Desire in a special screening on Sunday. It was really strange but I like it more and more as I think about it. Definitely a one-of-a-kind film.

Finally watched The Martian. eh it was ok I guess. Kinda dragged in the middle, and everyone seemed to be having way too much fun stuck in space for years. No problems at all. There's probably another, better movie in there, but it wouldn't get the budget.

Kinda getting sick of these movies where every possible thing that can go wrong goes wrong. It's tedious now. At this point, something going as planned would be surprising.

God, i hate it more than yesterday. What a missed chance...and im sure Coogler thinks he is actually doing the best movie of the series, with a strong racial message.

Last night I watched De Palma's The Bonfire of the Vanities, which I thought was pretty great. Depressing to realize how little things have changed. Made me want to read the book.

Man, I loved Bridge of Spies. I don't really get all the middling reactions. Expertly crafted; Spielberg has to be considered the best director of special effects (that jet crash is stunning) and dialogue (he shoots a dialogue sequence as if it were action sequence, not just an over-the-shoulders back-and-forth) out there. Hanks and Rylance were great, and Kaminski's film cinematography was striking. Big fan all around.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

One of the greatest (and simultaneously most frustrating) films I've eve seen. But I can't shake it.
