Cool, but the way these dates trickle out is horseshit.
Yeah it's pissing me off.
Waiting to book a trip in August right now to see what might happen, and it could also bleed into football season - which is fine - but I would really just like to know so I can plan ahead.
Yeah it's bullshit. Are they the only band that does this? Is it strategy, or just an example of how terrible shit is run? This is exactly why I don't care to see them unless they're within a couple of hours driving distance. It's like someone dangling a carrot in front of a horse to make it walk.
I'm going to Greeneville & Jacksonville. G'ville is only a few hours away & being a Saturday show it was a given. I had to decide between Jax & NO. I went with the one that's a slightly closer & a regular set as opposed to a festival one. Jax won't as expensive of a trip either. Planning on driving down after work that Tuesday, get some beach time in before the show & then head back Thursday morning. I got both tickets through Ticketmaster, my seats are certainly nothing special.
If/when more dates out west do come to fruition I may do one of those too.

They wanted to make sure all us sheep on the west coast would fill seats in the South/East so they artificially limited the supply, everyone scrambled to get tix, and now when they trickle out more west coast shows we'll be like "oh that's only 3 hours away so I have to go to that one also."

Yeah, the other option was to wait until the festival announced before releasing the full tour dates... They delayed and waited on Bonnaroo announcing and everyone got all pissed off because it took so long...

i'm not the biggest pj apologist. in fact, i usually quite enjoy bagging on them for their stupidity. but here it looks like we're only talking about one festival, and it wasn't in their hands. so i'm not sure why they would hold up announcing an entire tour by 3-4 weeks to accommodate announcing a smaller festival date.

How far away do you live, and what are the odds you end up not going?
Its a 5 hour drive through the mountains, so not super quick and easy, but one hell of a beautiful drive. And to see them in a similar ski resort mountain town is fascinating. These towns dont often get bands like this.
It all depends on if i get tickets. Ive put feelers out to my friends in Telluride for help and ill try the public sale.

Oh shut up. Do you know how many poor people live there?lol
hmmm let's estimate 250 landowners @ 1 driver, 1 chef, 1 landscaper, 1 housekeeper, 1 nanny, 1 personal shopper, and 1 pill-popping good-for-nothing pre-trust-fund-receiving kid named Cody, each = 1750 poor people, 250 of which are named Cody and drive a land rover but have no assets
