It's happening slowly, but I think I'm starting to believe a bit in the White Sox. Killer hitting from the 2-6 spots in the lineup, power bursts from Fisk at the back end, Dye hitting well off the bench, a rotation without a weak spot so far (led by Doc White and his seven Quality Starts in seven tries...I feel like an idiot now for dropping him at the last second for Jim Scott in the last tournament), and a bullpen that has been incredibly stable by whatif standards (especially the first guy out of the pen, Keith Foulke and his 1.00 ERA). This is a nice turnaround from the last tournament, when first base was a gaping hole in the lineup and Ed Cicotte (MOP-Pitcher runner-up) was the lone bright spot (for the most part) in a really disappointing staff.

The top three teams in the NL right now are the three franchises the White Sox have beaten in the World Series. Maybe it's an omen...
