I am most thrilled with the fact that they are not going the free agent route to try and upgrade the team. Taking talented, but possibly undervalued, assets on in trades for pieces that weren't going to be long term solutions.

I was a big Dumars supporter, but his OMG BUY MEDIOCRE FREE AGENT strategy (Josh Smith, Villanueva, Ben Gordon and Jennings) was killing us. Taking on guys like Jackson and Harris without giving up much seems like a far better idea for a team that will never be a top tier free agent destination.

Not to mention getting pieces now before people start overpaying starting this summer is smart business. Nic Batum (for example sake) type players will be commanding close to 20 million dollars a year next season.

Yep. Basically getting the free agents he'd otherwise want without other bidders and contracts negotiated using the current cap, not the future one.

Ever since Durant took home that hardware, Westbrook has outshone him in both Real Plus-Minus (8.1 to 5.6) and Box Plus/Minus (10.7 to 6.7). You can blame a little of that on a banged-up Durant toiling through injuries — his per-minute numbers are slightly down since 2013-14 — but most of it is because Westbrook has become an irrepressible hardwood force in his own right. Durant hasn’t gotten appreciably worse; Westbrook has simply gotten that much better. He may not quite be the best player in basketball right now (Steph Curry is off in another dimension), but Westbrook has staked a pretty solid claim to the No. 2 slot, well ahead of even Durant’s form in his MVP season.

He remains the most turnover-prone player in the NBA during crunch time, which has always been my main problem with him. A PG who falls apart in the 4th quarter is unforgivable.
I'd rather have a rock solid 18/7 guy in OKC than someone like Westbrook. If he was in an Iverson situation where he was clearly the focal point, than I'd be more understanding.

Curry makes up for it by shooting better in crunch time.

For the record, I've never said Westbrook isn't good. He's clearly an all-star, but his handle gets loose in the 4th quarter and he shoots a terrible percentage.

Last year, he was 15-of-47 (0-of-7 from 3) in the last 5 minutes of close games with a metric shit-ton of TOs.

Definitely Milwaukee. Washington has had a ton of injuries and Wittman is an average coach at best.

So I just took a very, very brief glance at this list and feel compelled to point out that guys who have the ball in their hands the most are probably going to be higher up on the turnover list.
