i like how he keeps saying 'mess up this bad'. if it was unintentional, 99.9% of viewers wouldn't have noticed without it being pointed out. it's not like it was a boom mike dropping into the screen or something. if you look closely, there's a vehicle seen driving in the background of the shire in one of the lord of the rings movies. it happens. and in this case, if it was truly a 'mistake', it's potentially one that works for the better rather than the opposite.

From 3/4's of a mile away, in the same direction the tanker probably drove to since they were headed back to alexandria anyways.

Late to the party here, but that was the best 10 seconds of this show ever.

We saw Sophia after the fact. And I think there might have been a couple kids in the prison. This show is totes cool with killing kids.
Right, but I think this is the first time we actually see a kid get brutally murdered.
They did a nice job, though, of making him so hate-able that you were rooting for it to happen.

I know I'm supposed to turn my brain off an not compare it to the comic, but how they meet Jesus and the ensuing chase presented on the show... it's comical in a bad way.

Jesus is a stealthy dude, but not ninja like. The whole ep felt like a drawn out way to introduce a pivotal character.

At least in the context these guys are using in this thread. I assume they are referring to his ass-kicking ability and cunning.

It just felt like it went too far.

But I am excited that the Hilltop (or whatever Jesus' village is called) will be added into the mix.

somebody on reddit took this way seriously and mapped movements using an actual photo of the set:

Image
The points are plotted out chronologically as the episode unfolds. Red X’s show where people were bit.
1. This is Jessie’s house where our characters Rick, Carl, Judith, Jessie, Ron, Sam, Michonne, and Gabriel emerged from covered in walker guts in the mid-season finale. (Rick’s path will follow the solid red line.) The characters make their way to the top of the lake.

2. At this point Rick changes their plans. Rick wants to leave the safe zone and get one of the cars near the quarry, so they can lead the walkers away. Deciding it would be too dangerous to carry a baby that far, Gabriel volunteers to keep her safe in his church. (Gabriel’s movements will be the pink line.) He takes Judith from Carl and makes his way around the lake to the church. Rick, Carl, Michonne, and the remaining Andersons will attempt to reach the front gate.
3. Glenn and Enid are still on the outskirts of the Safe Zone and enter the church that is outside the walls. After a little pep talk they exit the church and continue their attempt to save Maggie. (Glenn and Enid follow along the yellow line.)

4. Denise and the Wolf exit the cell, and are waiting for an opening to make their way to one of the lookout points along the walls, so they can get outside of Alexandria. (Denise’s movements follow the green line.)

5. Rick’s group (red line) is making their way to the front gate when suddenly Sam is too scared to continue. Eventually, the walkers notice and Sam is the first to fall. Jessie is overcome with what she is witnessing and begins to scream, eventually she is the walker’s next meal. After seeing his entire family killed Ron raises Jessie’s gun intending to shoot Rick. Before he gets the chance, Michonne runs him through and Ron inadvertently shoots Carl in the process. Rick picks up Carl, he and Michonne then sprint to the infirmary.
6. After hearing the shot, the walkers in the street in front of the condos begin to thin out, so Denise and the Wolf attempt to reach to look out. The Wolf is then bit by a walker. She leads him into one of the condos and eventually out to the back alley where the Wolf is then shot by Carol. Denise continues to the infirmary.

7. Rick, carrying an unconscious Carl, and Michonne reach the infirmary. Rick is overcome with emotion and decides taking out a little frustration on some walkers is a good idea. He is joined shortly by Heath, Aaron, Spencer, and Michonne. Here is where the battle for Alexandria begins. (Because of all the red lines in this area, I’ve “dotted” the path the survivors take.)

8. Inspired by the survivors taking on the herd, Olivia, Eric, and Bruce leave the safety of the house they are in and join in the fight. (Purple line)

9. By this time, the herd is starting to thin out. Carol, Morgan, Tara, Rosita, and Eugene decide to leave to condo and join the others fighting to take back Alexandria. (Orange line, same path as Eric.) They fight their way up the alley to meet up up with the rest of the survivors. Inspired by their courage, Gabriel and Tobin decide to join the fight as well. They make their way around the lake to fight along side everyone else. (Dotted the same pink line, space is tight.)
Glenn and Enid finally make their way to Maggie. Enid climbs up to help Maggie and Glenn attempts to lure the walkers away from the very unstable lookout. Eventually, Glenn runs out of bullets and is surrounded by walkers when suddenly…

10. Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl arrive to save the day. Glenn opens the gate for them and they all get into the fuel truck.

11. The survivors have fought their way down the street to this clearing, they are pushed back and have to make their final stand against the walkers.

12. Our second group of survivors are going to light the lake on fire to draw the walkers towards it. Sasha, Abe, Glenn, Maggie, and even Enid fight off the dead while Daryl backs the truck into position. When they sufficiently douse the lake in gasoline, they pull the truck far enough away for Daryl to be able to fire the RPG at the lake, and my only thought is “I wonder what the people in the church were thinking when they saw this…”
tl;dr: night falls very quickly in the zombie apocalypse.
