Do you honestly think it's going to take a lot of work to make people interested in a SW movie?

Yes i do, in terms of whe joe public goes to see this and isnt engaged or following as we'd do, and they think it's the sequel to FA and leave all pissed..

Don't even pretend there isn't gonna be huge numbers of those kinds of dumbasses..there will be.

Most of them will be the same people that were searching for spoilers in FA before it came out. Just because they know what happens won't stop them from seeing it.

I knew Captain Phillips got rescued but I still saw the movie.

While there hasn’t been talk of what kinds of action scenes (such as where, doing what to whom, etc.), Making Star Wars has word of storyboard pitches for the film which showed decapitated bodies, Vader dismembering people by throwing his lightsaber at them, and levitating bodies up to make himself human shields. In summation, “[t]he art was more violent than what we’ve seen Darth Vader do on screen before.”

That Vader appears in a lot of the books, the best of which is Lords of the Sith..he kicks ass and you get to see the Vader that earned that reputation.

Good, b/c I've been reading the new Vader comics, and he's a little bit of a pussy in those. He has to kiss the ass of other Emperor flunkies b/c he let the Death Star get destroyed. He wastes a bunch of time and resources trying to figure out if Padme really died on Mustafar. He lets other Empire assassins bad mouth him. ... all that and I haven't read the "Vader Down" storyline.

We need a bad ass Vader. He needs to throw his lightsaber past a guy, pull it back through the guys chest from behind, and then as he walks by the falling dead guy, he can yank out his lightsaber and use it to deflect laser shots.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Given the extreme deifference between his status in New Hope and his right hand man position in Empire, a story that takes him from A to B seems appropriate.

I didn't say it was unnecessary. I just hate the pussification of Vader.

I think it's weird when you nerds use the word "pussification" as a negative. Clearly, everything in the world would be better if it were more like pussy.
