Gracias. I'm really trying not to stress about speculation. I'll believe it when I see it but Goddamn I hope it's true.b_i_revisited wrote:http://community.pearljam.com/discussio ... nt_6072002Bammer wrote:I took a peek and didn't see anything.b_i_revisited wrote:Lots of hysteria on the pit regarding a supposed flash of West Coasts dates on facebook.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
So I've done a shit job of not stressing/obsessing over this.
There is a month gap prior to Bonnaroo. There is a month gap prior to Telluride. There is a month gap prior to Fenway. And the current schedule ends by mid-August.
Hauling all the gear from Canada to Tennessee to Colorado then to Massachusetts doesn't take a month in between each time and that's a long way to go for just a few shows, especially Colorado.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
PJ are only touring this year because it is an election year and they share a demographic with Donald Trump: ass-breathed white men. So they need to get the word out to their constituents that they should be voting for an ass-faced white woman
All posts by this account, even those referencing real things, are entirely fictional and are for entertainment purposes only; i.e. very low-quality entertainment. These may contain coarse language and due to their content should not be viewed by anyone

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
Ya glad they are touring this year otherwise I wouldn't know who to vote for in November. I enjoy getting my voting advice from millionaire rock stars. What better source is there.
For the gaps between shows. They don't have to bring much equipment to the festival shows. Festival provides most of it. Not like a regular tour where they have a caravan of trucks. Not sure how the baseball stadium shows work. Hopefully they'll add a few more shows though.

Are you basically talking about the house PA system?

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
The band will of course bring their own mics and amps and pedals on stage. But I'm referring to they don't have to provide speaker stacks or mixing equipment. I base most of my info on this article I read a while back. But I believe the attraction of the festival circuit are the big paydays and the relatively minimal set up work...or I could be f'd in the head.

"Besides Luke Bryan, US Bank Stadium to host rock concert before #Vikings August debut. My blind dart at the wall says Pearl Jam"
Seems unlikely given that it's less than a day's drive from Wrigley, but you never know.

Re: 2016 Tour Rumors
“We don’t have any plans for PJ25. And I think largely because PJ20 really does almost feel like it was last year. That’s how fast time goes at this point. Going out and playing shows, having people show up, having our fans be so great and so engaged in the shows—all the shows that we play feel like celebrations. I’m enjoying acknowledging that on stage more than I ever have and really taking that in and being humbled by it. Being really proud of what we’ve created as a band and the decisions that we’ve made. That’s the PJ25 answer." Jeff Ament in PopMatters
