"Pinocchio Story" is fucking devastating. I think it's my favorite 808s track.

There's some great and not so great stuff on this album. It's funny because I almost think the tracks he was gonna leave off are some of the best stuff. No More Parties In L.A. is the best rapping I've ever heard from him, made me wonder why he doesn't do that sort of thing more often.

Thanks for that, evenslow -- that was a great read. "Ultralight Beam" is a for-the-ages track.
Just played this album again after a couple doses of the new Kendrick. It sounds better to me the further divorced it becomes from the spectacle of its release -- there are some really, really strong tracks on here.

A favorite gaming personality, Brian Altano, summed up this album best, especially the Zelda analogy.

I finally watched the SNL performance. I thought people were exaggerating but man he really did ruin that performance of Ultralight Beam by that nonsense at the end. The song itself was cool, the vibe was great, Chance's verse was on point as usual, and then...that.

"I'm woke" doesn't seem grammatically correct.

Except, like pretty much all of Kanye's albums, this album is actually very focused and cohesive thematically. People need to realize that "I don't understand what the theme is" is not tantamount to "there is no theme."Monkey_Driven wrote:A favorite gaming personality, Brian Altano, summed up this album best, especially the Zelda analogy.
