I forgot Ed gave poetic context for Last Exit in the Vitalogy booklet.

I love Cropduster, and it's one of those truly unheralded PJ songs that I think gets short shrift. Despite that, Last Exit is just freakishly amazing. It's one of the perfect rock songs this band has managed to create. To this day, it's still my favorite song on Vitalogy.

Cropduster is untouchable.

And I love the shit out of Last Exit.

Last Exit is a zig zag.

But crop duster is a circle that keeps going.

I understand friend. And yes, go Last Exit!

No disrespect to Cropduster, as I've noted before, it wins "most improved" award for me. I hated it. Thanks to spenno and a few live cuts he posted, I somewhat saw the light. It's much better than I initially gave it credit for, and it's a greatly crafted song.

I never expected Cropduster to stand a chance in this match. But it's done better than I expected. :heartbeat:

Last Exit is an amazing song. Let's not get it twisted. Cropduster just happens to be slightly better. But both of these songs deserve to advance. I'll be happy no matter which one wins.

I think b/c it's the kickoff to the new album. It kinda sets the tone. Last Exit is possibly their best album opener, and it's one of their best songs.

Team Last Exit.
