Yeah, I would encourage you to do the settlement mission in your neighborhood. It is easy and teaches the you the fundamentals.

I missed the Pokemon craze by like a year or two. Not sure why I never tried it though. Seems like it is too late now.

I have Cait as a companion in F4, but she's glitched. She appears and talks when I load the save, enter a building or fast travel, but she can't move. I tried various online suggestions like shooting her until she dropped, and then giving her a stimpack and dismissing her, without success.

How do I get her unstuck? Things were going so well, and I want to bone her. :|

I hate having a companion. All they do is blow my cover.

Wear your power armor and you'll be fine. Great mission.
I was high level enough that I just wore my hazmat suit and took some overpowered guns, still made me shit bricks half the time though.

Hmm, maybe I should use the power armor.

I mostly like them because they carry shit and can tank enemies. Plus the perks you get for them liking you a lot can be really good.

Companions are a pain if you're trying to sneak around but guys like Strong and Danse are pretty great. Dogmeat is useful when you achieve the perk where he latches onto enemies and sort of immobilises them.

Agreed. I keep trying to take out new companions to earn their perks but I've invested so heavily into the Lone Wanderer perk that my character feels lacking without that extra carry weight and damage resistance when I take a non-canine companion with me. Plus when I hear him whimper when some baddie is beating on him, it puts me in BEAST MODE.

I can't go near the brotherhood because the first time I met them I killed Rhys. That guy was such an asshole.

Haha I always quicksave when I'm near them just to I can shotgun that prick in the face. Same goes for Marcy in sanctuary cause that miserable wretch complains too much. Though I don't think you can actually kill her, or even get people mad at you for that one.

So I've put some hours in Fallout 4 this weekend. I'm liking it, but not loving it. The exploration and weapon crafting are both excellent; the combat ranges from good-to-great; but the settlement building, inventory management, and dialogue choices are really tedious, at least so far.

I'd love to get my inventory management under control. I can give extra junk to Dogmeat when out on a quest, and I see there are perks that will allow me to carry more. Any other tips? Is there something I should build early in Sanctuary to store stuff, or some way to send extra inventory there from a quest? I'm just already so sick of shuffling junk and health aids back and forth between my pack and Dogmeat.

Yea, that's exactly what I've been doing. My problem has more to do with when I'm questing. It was so annoying to be trying to clear the Corvega Assembly Plant, and having to stop mid-combat to sort through my inventory. Maybe I'm just picking up too much stuff along the way, but it seems like nearly everything I come across has been tagged for just several different upgrades, and I never know how much I need until I get back to crafting. I'm picking up every roll of duct tape I can find, you know? And then my guy can't run. Stupid.
