Is there something wrong with snuggling with a child? Because I don't want to be right, if so.durdencommatyler wrote:WITH A CHILD?!Kaius wrote:Duh. Love love love how Go and (rightful winner of this year's tourney) Last Exit start their respective albums off with a little jam action before careening into the song/album proper.

Come to think of it, a lot of there openers have little things to open...Master / Slave for Once, the mini-jam for Go, the noodling around for Last Exit, the count for BOJ, and the bits and boops for Can't Keep. I think that's it though. The others pretty much get down to business.evenslow wrote:Love love love how Go and (rightful winner of this year's tourney) Last Exit start their respective albums off with a little jam action before careening into the song/album proper.

You obviously haven't heard the early pressings of "Lightning Bolt" where you can very clearly hear Stone saying "Guys, are we really sure we want to go through with this?" before "Getaway," while Mike plays the riff for "Cat Scratch Fever" in the background.darth_vedder wrote:Come to think of it, a lot of there openers have little things to open...Master / Slave for Once, the mini-jam for Go, the noodling around for Last Exit, the count for BOJ, and the bits and boops for Can't Keep. Around the Bend but it's mostly a vote against Go.

Re: III-44: Around the Bend vs. Go
Go is always in the running as one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs. This song alone justifies the angsty, un-self conscious period of the early '90s Pearl Jam totally. It's not that it's overly simplistic, but the intensity of the song is all you need to know.
