"Lorelei" by Cocteau Twins. I think about her sometimes. And I dread it. I dread her memory, and her passing, and her remains; desecrated innocently by life. Like a city I've always hated, driving through but never stopping, my foot on the gas, running all the lights, wishing I were home. Hating even the children who live there, as if they had a choice. I imagine her in her ten-million particles of ash, tied up into a beautiful bundle of lace, a silver bow looped where her neck should be, thrown into a washing machine, set on a delicate cycle to spin forever under the dirt. The all of her left, the vegetation of her, the no more thing of her; her skateboard and mountain bike and beers and cigarettes and daughter and mixtapes and loneliness, her legs and feet and arms and brain and kneecaps. Outside the graveyard there is still some part of her buried in the mysticism of her DNA, smeared across a doorknob or brushed along the jagged edge of her car keys. Two kids from the high school nearby will fuck each other on top of her and I won't know how to stop them. Someone will throw an empty bottle of vodka over their shoulder and she will have to catch it.

I don't know if this is an original post or something you've copy/pasted for grand effect, but I have read it three times now and listened to that song andit has really taken over the last 5 minutes or so of my life.

Argo is an immature and I suspect quite insecure young fellow. Being seen as humorous in the eyes of his peers is very important to him, even though his humour tends to be of the more juvenile 'lets put someone down in public' variety rather than anything particularly witty or clever.

I understand this and can ignore him pretty easily as required.

Thanks again though. Good to see some posters begining to speak out where they feel the need.
