Yeah if it goes back with the Spurs up 3-2 I definitely think that favors the Spurs. I'm not saying it'd be impossible, but I'd rather be the Spurs in that scenario.Peeps wrote:4/5 wrote:Clearly it's his fault that the Spurs couldn't miss from 3.verb_to_trust wrote:What an ass kicking......how exactly is this Spo's fault, by the way?
Going into this series I figured each team would blow out the other once. I just wish it happened with the Heat up 2-1. Oh well. I think Miami needs to win both 4 and 5 or I really don't like their chances.
really?

I'll say it since you guys are being nice and haven't yet. What is going on with LeBron??? I'll defend games 1 and 2 for him, but he was downright bad last night. The Spurs are playing him like it's 2007 and it's almost like because they're doing that it has made him revert back to 2007 LeBron. Maybe Chalmers getting into foul trouble early blew up Miami's plan of running for Chalmers/James pick and rolls and then they didn't know what else to do. I don't know. Maybe James is secretly hurt on his shooting arm or something. But he hasn't played like himself all series and last night was just plain bad.Monkey_Driven wrote:Last night was a weird game.

ok, i am a dolt, i read that as if they dont win games 4 and 5 meaning they cant lose both or else it will be tough to come back. that would have them losing the series 4-1.4/5 wrote:Yeah if it goes back with the Spurs up 3-2 I definitely think that favors the Spurs. I kept wanting him to drive to the rim and create something since it was clear his jumper wasn't falling. He looked out of place last night. Not what you want from your best player. I'm sure they will make some adjustments and play much better in Game 4 but he needs to be at his best to beat the Spurs when they are operating like this.4/5 wrote:I'll say it since you guys are being nice and haven't yet. Bosh looked completely out of it on several defensive possessions, shrinking away from the paint instead of contesting shots or grabbing boards.

Magic said it best. On the road, in the finals, you have to take it upon yourself to be aggressive. I'm not in the camp that he has to score 45, but he has to be aggressive even when he's creating, i didn't see any of that last night. It's like he was waiting for the Dwayne Wade game or the Chris Bosh game, but he should know better that that's not going to happen, especially on the road.
Aside from that, the bigger issue i saw was Miami's defense. They have gotten by with athleticism and effort coupled with gambling, but that's not going to work against San Antonio's offense who have 5 guys that will touch the ball on every possession and they're willing to pass up a good shot for an even better shot. The Spurs offense controlled the game last night. It got Miami flustered and they never recovered.

Please let there not be another blow out like Game 3 again in the series. That sucked.

god fucking almighty. Even when the Spurs kick ass and put on a show, sportscenter still makes it about Lebron James.

Agreed. It's all about how the Heat don't want it and aren't playing like themselves. It's like the Spurs have done nothing to earn their two wins. Let's not give Kawhi Leonard any credit for the amazing D he has been playing either.Harry Lime wrote:god fucking almighty. not that i watch much, but is it possible that Lebron is just out of gas? from all i have seen he has pretty much carried the heat all season, maybe he is just mentally and physically shot. i hope he has a big bounce back game in game 4verb_to_trust wrote:If Lebron was hurt he would tell us all about it.4/5 wrote:I'll say it since you guys are being nice and haven't yet. It is a distinct possibility. I think the Spurs are messing with his head too. I expect a big game from him tonight, but they'll need to play much better defense to win.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:not that i watch much, but is it possible that Lebron is just out of gas? from all i have seen he has pretty much carried the heat all season, maybe he is just mentally and physically shot. i hope he has a big bounce back game in game 4verb_to_trust wrote:If Lebron was hurt he would tell us all about it.4/5 wrote:I'll say it since you guys are being nice and haven't yet. I mean Leonard's been executing it so he deserves credit, but I think Pop should get the majority of the credit for the game plan: give James and Wade a cushion, let them shoot all the J's they (don't) want to shoot, clog the lane, and don't let them get in the paint. I don't think Leonard has done anything amazing on defense. His offense rebounding on the other hand has been insane.turned2black wrote:It's like the Spurs have done nothing to earn their two wins. Re: NBA Thread
I disagree. The Heat outscored the Spurs 7 out of 8 quarters in the first two games. The first half of Game 2 the Heat were up 5 at the half, but it was just like Game 3 where you could tell who was dominating but basically because of one guy (Green in game 2, Miller in 3) hitting some 3's the score was a lot closer than it felt. The Heat dominated Game 2 from the tip just like the Spurs did Game 3 even if the score at the half didn't adequately express that.Monkey_Driven wrote:

It has nothing to do with scoring. The Spurs have dictated play.4/5 wrote:I disagree. The Heat outscored the Spurs 7 out of 8 quarters in the first two games. Re: NBA Thread
Game 1 Miami got to the basket with decent frequency. It probably slightly favored the Spurs style, but Miami was a lot closer to playing their style of ball than they were throughout the previous two series. Game 2 Miami forced a ton of turnovers and were out in transition running all night. There's no way you can watch the first half of Game 2 and feel like the Spurs controlled that game. Even if the Spurs made Miami take jumpers the Heat didn't let the Spurs get shots off. Miami's defense controlled game 2 like the Spurs defense controlled game 3.turned2black wrote:It has nothing to do with scoring. The Spurs have dictated play.4/5 wrote:I disagree. This is mostly true. But after these playoffs I'm not even sure what Heat basketball is supposed to look like anymore.Monkey_Driven wrote: That's what I was going for.
