Great matchup. Two very similar songs. Brain of J is really good--the most vitalogy-esque moment on Yield, and the direction I wish the album went in. But it lacks the visceral punch of Last Exit, where no note is wasted and the whole song is desperately trying to claw its way out of a deep and dark place. Last Exit is not my favorite pearl jam song (though it's close), but it is one of the very few songs I can say is probably perfect.

This one's going to be close. Lots of support for the album-opening rockers this year (including Hail Hail).

Today? This goes to Last Exit.

I only voted for Brain of J because Vitalogy already makes up about half the songs in the champions bracket. Time to show other albums some love.

Closest match of the tourney so far for me, by the slightest margin, I vote for Last Exit.

Someday we'll go all the way.

Someday is here, and it ain't Christmas.

What I'm saying is, vote for Last Exit early and often.

"Brain of J" has the killer bridge that "Last Exit", great as it is, sorely lacks.

last exit has a short and sweet bridge that explodes beautifully into the final chorus.

Just 'take care' of this matchup like you did with RVM v. IMT, stip.
