Is there anyone campaigning for Go to win this whole thing? If so, I'd like to throw in my support.

I had previously thrown my support to someone for Last Exit. But with that losing I could get behind "Go".hlniv wrote:Is there anyone campaigning for Go to win this whole thing? If so, I'd like to throw in my support.
But I think the campaign for Brain of J winning is out of my league and beyond my reach.

It's going to be Go vs. Brain of J in the (pre-)finals.
Team Go.
Team Go.

I like Red Mosquito, but I just find that it can't compare. I see that the craft of that song is more measured and accomplished than something like Go, which is more of a molotov cocktail than a song, but the latter still does it for me.

Re: V-59: Red Mosquito vs. Go
I listened to both studio takes and live versions with Jack (Go from last page, and RM from Berlin '96). As much as I hate voting against No Code, Go seemed like the overall better number. That sound is what helped make Pearl Jam "sound" like Pearl Jam. It's really a definitive song in their catalog. Red Mosquito is just a really good song on a really good album, and normally that would be enough to beat most songs, but not this time around.E.H. Ruddock wrote:You did the right thing.
