Faraway kicked sooooooooooooo much ass last night!!!!! So glad they played it.
Lets Call It Love is pretty awesome as a solo song, didnt know if I'd like it just ending but it worked. Wonder why they dont segue it into anything?

seeing them on tuesday. tempted to try to make it to another one of the nyc shows, which start tonight.

funny you mention faraway.. it came up on a shuffle just now, which made me head to this thread to see if there was any chatter about the current string of shows. awesome that you got to hear it!

can't wait to see the ladies again!

Its been played just about every show this leg. The setlists since the Indy show have been more mixed up too. Few more songs showing up that werent getting much play earlier this year.

I really dug the Carrie bio. Felt too short. Probably the bio I connected with the most as a musician/enthusiast along with the Bob Mould book.

Something that seemed impossible only 18 months ago is happening this weekend - I'm seeing Sleater-Kinney :hooray:

It's at the Sydney Opera House so I'm a little apprehensive that the atmosphere won't suit them, hopefully they'll blow the roof off the joint regardless.

Any other Aussies seeing them on this tour? Zeb?

Have a great gig you guys. So jealous I couldn't get over for it. I did end up getting a call from Double J to do a fan audio snippet for the podcast. That was weird :-)

Hey Ridley if I throw you some coin would you fancy getting me a t-shirt?

PM on the way, cheers :-)

Well funny thing is they were going to call me at a specific time for the broadcast but ended up running late so I couldn't do a longer chat but we did a quick sound byte this morning for the podcast version that goes up on iTunes. It was the old "Hi I'm (insert name) from (insert city) and you're listening to the J Files on Double J. I love Sleater Kinney because (insert reason)".

Heh, I remember Kingsmill calling me for the J File they did on Soundgarden way back when (1997?).

I wanted to listen to the SK one last night. I'll have to chase it up.

Pretty great show last night. A supreme effort from Janet and an excellent setlist.
