Re: Denver Broncos
If the Chiefs weren't in the AFC West they'd probably be on my upper echelon of NFL teams. Great fans, great ownership, great team atmosphere. It'd be awesome to go to a game at Arrowhead someday, and I wouldn't fear for my well-being there!durdencommatyler wrote:This guy gets it.Green Habit wrote:Thanks for the congrats, everyone!

Like any fan base, you'll come across the occasional dickwagon. But the vast majority are good fans that love beer, bbq and the game of football. Arrowhead is a great place to watch a game. I hope you get the chance someday. I've been around few environments like it.Green Habit wrote:If the Chiefs weren't in the AFC West they'd probably be on my upper echelon of NFL teams. I respect the hell out of the Broncos. I have to officially dislike them especially when they play the Chiefs. But, the rivalry aside, I have to respect what the organization has done and admire their continued success. I hope the Chiefs can know that kind of success someday.

Broncos fans.... what, to you, is an acceptable deal for Von Miller?

More than Houston, less than Suh. That's probably the range it will land.durdencommatyler wrote:Broncos fans.... what, to you, is an acceptable deal for Von Miller?

I wouldn't have a problem with him being the highest paid defensive player in the league.

I wouldn't either if it weren't for the fact that Suh's value has been perennially inflated by the old rookie wage scale, the Lions repeatedly restructuring his contract to make him untaggable, and the Dolphins falling for all that inflated worth.Orpheus wrote:I wouldn't have a problem with him being the highest paid defensive player in the league.

To be fair, I don't think the Dolphins overpaid for him too far. Being under someone like JJ Watt is still top 5 by contract. And at least they got a good player, unlike the insanity the Redskins gave to Albert Haynesworth.4/5 wrote:Green Habit wrote:I wouldn't either if it weren't for the fact that Suh's value has been perennially inflated by the old rookie wage scale, the Lions repeatedly restructuring his contract to make him untaggable, and the Dolphins falling for all that inflated worth.Orpheus wrote:I wouldn't have a problem with him being the highest paid defensive player in the league.

So apparently the Texans are also trying to sign Osweiler. What will they do if he leaves? Go Broncos.

Not sure. RGIII maybe?E.H. Ruddock wrote:So apparently the Texans are also trying to sign Osweiler. What will they do if he leaves? Go Broncos.
In other Broncos news, Jackson is off to Jacksonville, Trevathan may be going to Chicago, and they've cut Louis Vasquez and Owen Daniels. Things change quickly in the NFL.

Bleh. Fill me in here, Joey. All I can think of right now is that the Broncos overpaid, and gave KC a comp pick while sacrificing one of their own.

Re: Denver Broncos
I'd say that's about right, yeah.
I liked him well enough. He made some plays but also made some big mistakes. He can play multiple positions and he worked well for us in that capacity (we moved him around a ton, guard L & R tackle, etc). But he also had some big quit in him.
Put it this way, we're a team that needs OLine help/depth and I'm not surprised we let him go. For whatever that's worth.

Osweiler signing with the Texans. Good luck with Kapernick, Denver.

Not close to panicking at this moment, although Kaepernick isn't my preferred solution. The Broncos almost certainly set a hard ceiling that they refused to cross, and they're very good at not overpaying as a result. I bet this contract with the Texans is monstrous.E.H. Re: Denver Broncos
I'm sure they'll land RGIII and he'll have a fucking massive resurgence and play the best football of his life for the next decade. Because Chiefs.

Someone on NFL.com is reporting that they might try to trade for Kapernick, but Adam Schefter is reporting that RGIII could be visiting Denver soon as well.Green Habit wrote:Not close to panicking at this moment, although Kaepernick isn't my preferred solution.
