Re: NBA Thread
Has there been any detailed reporting done about his condition locally? I'd be interested to read up. I had a stroke and I run 30 miles a week. No doctor ever told me that I should wrap myself in bubble wrap and never move again because I developed a blood clot. Physical activity is good for your circulatory health. It's encouraged. To me he should just play as soon as he's cleared. I just feel like I'm missing something here...

Bosh's statement yesterday was basically the first word anybody has said about it. He pulled out of the ASG because of a calf strain supposedly. Then the Heat labeled him day-to-day, didn't say anything, and that was it. A couple reports about him meeting doctors were leaked. A report saying doctors and the team told him to shut it down came out. Besides that it was all just rumors and people getting mad that Bosh was making cryptic Instagram posts and that the team was silent. The team said they were respecting Bosh's privacy.verb_to_trust wrote:Has there been any detailed reporting done about his condition locally? I'd be interested to read up. Re: NBA Thread
Certainly you shut it down while you get rid of the clot and wait until cleared but I just don't know to what degree the issue is career threatening in itself. It can certainly be a problem that impacts his health with serious ramifications ( possibly life threatening) but I'm not sure playing basketball has anything to do with it. He should just finish his career if that is what makes him happy.4/5 wrote:Bosh's statement yesterday was basically the first word anybody has said about it. Remember when Jimmy Butler dunked his ass on that alley oop during the 13-14 season? I think it was the game they snapped the heats winning streak?

Bosh says there is "currently" no clotting. Everything I read focuses on blood thinners. I know you mentioned that you take blood thinners and are restricted, so idk if what we're hearing is just rumors from people who don't know or if maybe the level of physical activity and/or the seriousness of his condition require a prohibition against playing while on blood thinners...idk.

I take a generic form of plavix and do whatever I want. I think there are other blood thinners that might have some side effects though.4/5 wrote:Bosh says there is "currently" no clotting. I was at the playoff game naz Mohammed shoved Lebron and Nate robinson blocked him from behind. They lost but it felt like a win.4/5 wrote:All I remember from that game is stupid Heinrich in those ridiculous goggles mugging people w/o getting whistled and making absurd shots.verb_to_trust wrote: Remember when Jimmy Butler dunked his ass on that alley oop during the 13-14 season? My friend (a Heat fan) just texted me, "remember fun Heat-Bulls used to be?"
Not really, those games were infuriating.
