Nice work making SM look like SM from the 1977 movie.

Lifted last night, excuse me. Collider collected some of them. Universally praising it (the most qualified comment was that it was better than ultron but not as tight as winter soldier)- in particular:

Spider-Man and Black Panther. Excellent debuts which bodes well for characters that need to keep the MCU moving forward

The airport fight is apparently stellar (which is good cuz that shot of the teams running towards each other underwhelmed)

The iron man/cap confrontation is fairly emotional - the film hits it's mark in that you sympathize with both and just want them to not fight

Huge grain of salt as these things tend to skew positive, but encouraging. Full press review embargo lifted next week, so I'm guessing Disney/marvel is pleased

Assuming the reviews are right this bodes well for infinity war, which has to be one of the more ambitious and difficult projects in film history

Apparently another minor villain, although that's less of a problem this time out I would presume given the nature of the story

One last last thing: this movie plays like a repudiation of 'Batman v Superman'. A devastating reply.
I have to admit it. Captain America: Civil War a letdown after the high of Winter Soldier. It's a better, smarter version of BvS.
Civil War and BvS tackle some of the same themes and have similar beats, yet Cap works because we know and care about these characters.

good grief this is all we are gonna hear....

That last quote reads exactly like someone that will be happy with anything as long as it doesn't challenge them.

I disagree with that. To me it's more of a statement of the overall Marvel mission. I went in to these with a passing knowledge of super heroes and comics. I found Captain America hokey and dumb. Their universe has changed my mind completely. He's now my favorite by a large margin so now I have an investment in this character beyond BUT GUYS ITS BATMAN! That allows these continuing films to have a depth beyond neat costumes.

How can you possibly draw that conclusion from that quote?

Still, two comic book movies from rival franchises that feature heroes fighting each other - we knew the comparison was coming even if BVS was a critical darling
