RNDM

When a band is but a fraction of Pearl Jam, but they aren't zero Pearl Jam.

He was fantastic when RNDM went out on tour the first time. These new songs aren't as energetic to me, so while he was good, the drumming felt subdued. At one point he was smashing his toms with maracas during a jam which was cool. I was hoping they'd still keep Into You Like A Train as a cover like before. He destroyed that a few years ago (in a good way). So yeah, still cool, but I liked the drumming during their first pass through a little better.
I might be able to get to an E-bow.

There are still tickets to the Double Door show. I might go I guess but I'd probably end up going alone since it's a Tuesday night.

I'd put this in a very close second behind Bayleaf for "best side project evah."

Sorry, Three Fish or RNDM?

And did you wind up going to the RNDM show?
Sorry, the new RNDM. I like Three Fish a lot too, though. They just did the one record right?

And no I did not go to the RNDM show. I decided it was better to get some work done and save some money.

Ah. Saving money is good. Three Fish did two records, the self-titled one (my favorite of the two), and The Quiet Table.
Ah. I had no idea! Yeah, I've only heard the self-titled one. Which I love.

Saw a used orange vinyl copy of Acts at the shop today for $20. Looked pretty cool, thinking about going back to grab it. Anyone know anything about this orange version? Is it special or rare?

I think it was limited. My version of Acts is black

yeah, orange was 'limited'. not sure how limited it was, and it may have been a 10c and/or indie shop only release. but the black is the standard issue.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

DC had an opener. Solo act, maybe? He was scheduled to get off at 8:45, band at 9:15. I missed the first song struggling to find parking. Say 9:00 to be safe.

Parking is a goddamn BITCH around H street. I parked like a fucking mile away but thankfully made it in time for beginning of rndm's set.

Yup. I ended up by Ben's Chili Bowl. I missed 5 songs when they played the Black Cat on the first tour too. That area is just as bad.

And for anyone else they're on for about 90 minutes.
