I stated earlier, before the series began, that if a star player on either side went down that could tilt things. I have grave concerns about Horton's effectiveness even if he plays. Tough blow.

Hockey players just pop a shoulder back in place and play the next game. Unreal. We'd all be in the hospital.

Every year during the playoffs I marvel at what these players are willing to put themselves through. Guys not missing any time for things that would put players from other sports out for the season. Campbell playing on a broken leg, I remember a couple years ago Stamkos got his face destroyed by a puck and just had it stitched up in between shifts. It's amazing, it's why the Stanley Cup Playoffs are the best thing in sports.

Bullshit. The game starts at 4, you miss the first period. No big deal.

Living in the eastern time zone, and having half your playoff games for the last 20 years start after 10 at night, not over until 1:00 without overtime, and having to be up for work at 5:30.


The west coast has it so easy for sports its not even funny. No super late nights. Time to get drunk after the super bowl ends. NFL Games from 10 am until you go to bed.

I've said for a couple of years now that Tortorella didn't get nearly the offensive potential out of the squad he had...as much as I hate AV and think he's a TERRIBLE coach in terms of making adjustments/holding players accountable, the Rangers will score a lot more goals with his system

I've said for a couple of years now that Tortorella didn't get nearly the offensive potential out of the squad he had...as much as I hate AV and think he's a TERRIBLE coach in terms of making adjustments/holding players accountable, the Rangers will score a lot more goals with his system

I still don't know why Tortorella decided to go with such a defensive system. He had one of the best goalies in the league, so that wasn't the reason. He didn't use that system in Tampa Bay.
