I love all the attention Harden's shitty defense is getting this year, but where was this stuff when Nash was winning MVPs?

To a certain extent that's true. Nash actually lacked the physical tools to be a good defender. He had short arms and poor lateral movement.

But he also tended to poke at the ball a lot instead of trying to stay with guys and often "Shaqed" his way back on defense.

Suns fans will tell you that D'Antoni didn't care and those Suns teams were simply about getting up more shots and shooting a better percentage. But they were incapable of getting big stops (especially after The Matrix left) and that was mostly because of Nash's inadequacies on defensive.

harden on defense is the equivalent of a 9 year old playing left field

So I'm getting cautiously optimistic about the Heat's future again. Winslow and Richardson are both playing like absolute steals right now, hopefully they keep that. I'm starting to think they might be okay in a post-Wade and Bosh world.

If I were the Heat I'd try to keep Tyler Johnson around.

I think I mentioned this before in this thread, but Harden was a "good" defender in college. I watched a lot of ASU games his sophomore year and while he did have a few lazy plays, by and large he was active and attentive on the defensive end.

I attended the Mavs/Warriors game last night. The Splash Brothers did not disappoint. Wish I was going to tonight's game too.

Did you get to see stephs pregame ritual? Was Riley there? Is Draymond even uglier in person?

Yes, no, and maybe (I was in the nosebleeds).
