Already looking forward to doing this again in the fall. I think next time I'll run a Rockies team.

I really only want to do one or two teams.

And can a mod change the thread title to 2015 All-Time Franchise Tournament: WORLD SERIES CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX
I know Lament is too humble to do so.

If we need an extra team to balance out a league, I'd be willing to run a second team. Otherwise, count me in for the Braves again. Sentimentality is dead. My new team is stronger. Since the chances of adding a 2016 player is about 0.0001%, my new team is ready to go!@SkitchP wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:Already looking forward to doing this again in the fall. Well, that was fun. Thanks to Lament and chud for all your simming and stat-keeping. And a special second thanks to Lament for coming back to do this. These sentimental bastards were entirely unwilling to do a baseball tourney without you.
all of this.

Re: 2015 All-Time Franchise Tournament: WORLD SERIES GAME FO
Thanks guys! And thank you again to everybody who took part in this. chud gets my vote for RM MVP this time around, between simming nearly half of the games, running three teams, and keeping a full leaderboard for the entire season. Seriously chud, I can't thank you enough. Also, thanks for convincing me to come back and be a part of this again. It's probable nothing will ever match the fun and excitement of the first one, but it does surprise me how much fun it continues to be every time we kick off a new tournament. So seriously, thank you again. It's pretty awesome to be a part of this.
In terms of on the field stuff, I'd like to think on a certain level a middling, mediocre franchise like the White Sox winning this time would give a lot of people reason to believe that with the right set of players there are plenty of franchises capable of winning this tournament, and I think that helps keep it exciting going forward. I mean hell, the Sox weren't even a .500 team in the last one.
So, does anybody have any tweaks or changes they'd like to propose now while the tournament is fresh in their minds that they'd like to see for the next one? Now's the time for the roster change suggestion/discussion, if we'd like to have it...

Since you proposed it, Skitch, I'll do it.@SkitchP wrote:And can a mod change the thread title to 2015 All-Time Franchise Tournament: WORLD SERIES CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX
I know Lament is too humble to do so.
So...both RM tournaments were won by the team that was the defending champions exactly ten years earlier. Looks like the pressure is on you, Kaius...
You guys will always have my blessing to do one without me. RM's Time Traveling Baseball Fanfiction looks to be in good hands, no matter who is taking the lead. The Argonaut wrote:And a special second thanks to Lament for coming back to do this. Simming theses games was no big deal. Lament, in the future I have no problem splitting the workload like we did this time.
