Good Advices has some of my favorite REM lyrics of all time, but the song just isn't that good.

"At the end of the day I'll forget your name
I'd like it here if I could leave and see you from a long way away"

that's an amazing lyric.

But Let Me In is top to bottom one of their best.

have you guys heard the unplugged version from bridge school. It's maybe even better than the Monster version

I can't find it, but here's another one that's a bit more adorned but still beautiful.

that bridge school performance was put on one of the fan club singles. i remember playing it over and over again when i got it. and i was very happy they made it a staple of the 2008 tour.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.

Good Advices is beautiful. I love the constant fingerpicking that connects everything and propels it along. I usually pay attention to lyrics last when absorbing music, and if the music really captures me I almost don't even care what the words are, as long as the singing delivers. This song does everything well. Easy vote.

Oh man. I can't believe it's getting beat. Let Me In is ok, but it's one of the lesser Monster tracks.
