Fuck, I really love both songs. I hate that this is a first tound match.
Box Cars is my favorite Cronic Town track and one of my favorite early songs, but Falls to Climb is fucking gorgeous, probably top 10 R.E.M. for me.

I like Falls to Climb. It's on my list of songs that Kevin Davis sings the praises of that I revisited because of that. He's given me a new appreciation for it. But it's still just north of the bottom third of Up for me.


Everything on Chronic Town is so good. Carnival of Sorts takes this easy. Another killer example of how they turned what was basically the skeletal outline of a song into something great.
