Theodore Long followed me on Twitter, and it was legitimately the most excited I've been about a follower. That guy was a personal favorite of mine.

This sounds strange, but he makes it seem like sport rather than circus, which I love.

I successfully nabbed another free month of the network using another credit card.

Anything to be excited about in tonight's NXT event?

A bunch to be excited about...

Nakamura and Aries' debuts, Bayley/Asuka should be awesome, and Joe/Balor II.

Speaking of which, predictions:

American Alpha/Revival: American Alpha
Aires/Corbin: Aries
Nakamura/Zayn: Nakamura
Bayley/Asuka: Asuka
Joe/Balor: Joe

Crews hasn't taken it to the next level yet, there's no one on that card he should be there over. I'm sure they are taping an episode of NXT before the show starts that he will be on.

I've caught a bit of a SMACK DOWN! or two since he started and he does have a MARV ALBERT type sports broadcaster voice which is great to hear. Also now he's not yet using all the changes that WWE tends to madate like Championship instead of title or ignoring certain spots in the ring in order to plug the next paper view or just bicker amongst each other for no reason like JBL Cole, and that other guy. Plus having Jerry Lawler being sorta heelish again is Awesome and natural of Lawler. At present SMACK DOWN is much more gratifying to watch as its simply wrestling where as RAW is a bunch of crap filled with some filler, a match in between 3 commercial breaks, and then some more crappy filler, and maybe a cool tag team main event with 3 vs 3 superstars of heel vs face.

But I've been behind on my WWF TV recently as I've been buzy. Actually I've found unfortunately I am much more entertained from watching RAW and WAR ZONE from like 96 or 97 than present TV. But hey at least this new announcers doing good, I did hear via a radio show here in Baltimore they are slowly taking away certain words he can use, and teaching him the proper terms and how to call the superstars matches. The presentation of wrestling as a sport is essential to its longevity, I remember when the rind apron for HeAT at one time prior to a PPV or lower status PPV had this ring skirt that had the W scratch logo and said ENTERTAINMENT on the ring.
This to me is like a constant remind that makes it difficult to suspend disbelief and enjoy the program in their world. It's like watching a movie and with a sticker in the corner of the screen saying THIS IS PRETEND the entire time.

Plus it made no sense as we have associated the WWE logo (even w/o the E) as saying WWE. So it was like saying WorldWrestlingEntertainment Entertainment. Fucking stupid, but at least it fit in with the decision to pick WWE as the new name. I personally would have gone back to WWWF, or WWFE, and simply refered to it as the Federation as they've done oh I dunno since the 80s and sounds more natural and ppl understood that more than WWE.

Then on Sports Center I remember Vince even using the WORLD WRESLTING FEDERATION name again in like 2009 with some sorta pepsi center double booking. He didn't even call his own company WWE when he knew they name, but its confusing to real sports fans I guess at that time, as everyone over 12 still called it WWF for the most part. Hell, even Bret the Hitman Hart fucked it up at least 3 times in 2010 since he was back on TV there for a bit. That was awesome. Gotta think he did it on purpose since he always said it is in his mind WWF , and WWE is a silly name.

The E thing bugs me in this way too when its mentioned on screen, like when Wrestlers would talk about winning WWE title and that itself just hurt the credability as much as I am now used to it, it made my ears confused "I am going to fight you for the World Wrestling eNTtertainment title". I don't kno its not making much sense to hear that line, and still hate the name of the company, especially when its used on screen with the wrestlers in conversation. WORLD title was fine.

Hell they can use WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION, and even up til what 2011 could use the block logo, could've gone back that combo too in my understanding if they wanted to, but nope VKM is ashamed to be associated with wrestling since he grew up poor in NorthCarolina and does not want to be a 'wrastling' promoter, and wants to say 'hey we make entertainment, and movies." Well Marine 3 or whatever sold what 2 dvds, and the whole other batch of shitty bargin bin 10 for $1 films that nobody watched does not make him on par with the rest of Hollywood or any other studio.

Vince gets so distracted by all that other bullshit XFL and stuff, and main core of the business suffers. The lifeblood of his industry is what happens in that 20 x 20 ring. And he of all people should know that. But whatever, as long as they are making money, nothing will change.

Also, Crews is positioned to move up the card with Zayn already on the main roster and Balor headed there in the near future.

This will be better than Wrestlemania.

I think Bayley wins. I don't see them having all the titles change hands on one show.

I have a hunch her and Balor are going to be on the main roster Monday, that's why I have them both dropping the belt.
