I feel like I was a little too young for Shandling when he was going through his heyday in the late '80s and early '90s; but, boy, even from the very little I've seen of his TV work, modern television comedy owes him big time.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I rewatched some of the Larry Sanders show a few years ago, and it was still pretty great. Yeah, some dated humor in there. But, the interactions between Garry, Rip Torn, and Jeffrey Tambor was still fantastic.

"It's Garry Shandling's Show" and "The Larry Sanders Show" were both insanely good. He seemed to be overshadowed by other less-talented, "observational" comedians.

RIP Patty Duke. :peace:

:(

I met her once at a billiards trade show in KC, of all places. I was dressed as the Tin Man and she was really funny and sweet. She will be missed.

Wait, why were you dressed as the Tin Man at a billiards trade show?

Clearly you've never been to a billiards trade show.

I got paid really well to be there dressed as the Tin-Man, by the way. It wasn't like some weird cosplay thing or something.

My mom has a Polaroid of us dressed up at the Trade Show. But other than that one photo, my deepest wish is that no photos exist.
