Closeish one, not really highlights from their resppective albums for me, but still very good songs.

Re: 1-27: Suspicion vs. Sitting Still
I like both of these songs a lot. But Sitting Still is maybe my favorite song on Murmur. I feel like Stipe is still finding his late career voice on the Up-Around the Sun stretch of albums, and this is one of those songs that he doesn't sing quite as well as I want him too. He needs to sound like the Michael Stipe on the last two records and is still trying to sound like the Michael Stipe on the untouchable Green-Hi-Fi run. The song is sexy, without question, but I keep wanting it to be even more than it is (see also: my comments on I've Been High)

Suspicion really is a sexy song. Easily wins this match.

Wow, these 2 songs really surprised me. I listened to Suspicion first and was pretty into it, but Sitting Still kicked ass from the get go. Really liked the sound of Sitting Still. Garage pop-rock?

If you've never listened to REM other than the radio hits, following along with this tournament should be a real treat for you.

This is a tough one... Love both of these.
I feel "Sitting Still", like stip was saying, really helped propel that "REM sound". Having said that, Suspicion is cool, and it's on a really cool album. I
the cool guitar effect from the 3:20ish to 3:40ish mark.
I think I'll go with "Sitting", but I can be swayed.
