then there's the part of me who will never trust Stern and wonders if this just his way of trying to guarantee a seventh game

Why? Cause James puts on a show and pisses and moans every time he goes to the hoop and misses a basket?

Re: NBA Thread
This series is just about which struggling/past it star will show up on any given night. Last game it was Wade and the Heat won......tonight it was obviously Ginobli....
I think starting Ginobli could really get him going though and that could spell the end of the season for Miami because Wade was again missing shots at the basket tonight...

no, because the entire Heat team seemed to not get much in the way of calls, especially near the basketHarry Lime wrote:MattA75 wrote:I hate Miami but these refs have been friggin awful tonight4/5 wrote:For everybody who thinks the refs favor Miami you people are out of your minds.

Still don't see Miami losing game 6 and no way a game 7. Hoping I'm wrong.

Oh if I were betting I'd load up on the Heat in game 6. The Heat are going all out and will win by around 15 pts.
Game 7 who knows, but it's definately going 7. I kind of think the Spurs pull out game 7.

I've stopped predicting what is going to happen in this series. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy it because by Friday we won't get any more basketball for several months.

I actually really enjoy summer league. Its hard to tell much from summer league but last year I learned Marcus Teague was awful and Jimmy Butler had put in some serious work to get better and that held true for the regular season. Always nice for a first look at the rookie class too....bada wrote:Hey July still has the draft, summer league and free agency!

I'm wondering what role player/semi-washed up superstar is going to emerge with a monster game tonight.

I hear he's available. Maybe the Spurs can get Steve Kerr as well.Electromatic wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:I'm wondering what role player/semi-washed up superstar is going to emerge with a monster game tonight.

Spurs need to win tonight. I just don't see the Spurs winning Game 7 in Miami. I think only having one day off between games could help the Spurs. Shooters can stay hot and Manu won't be so far removed from his one decent game in the finals. I would expect Miami to shake up their line-up tonight and I'm guessing Pop will respond with giving more minutes to Diaw and maybe Bonner. This should be fun.

I've loved the adjustments from game to game. Who knows what the key to winning will be tonight. I don't see the Heat losing tonight, but you never know.turned2black wrote:Spurs need to win tonight. Where's 4/5? I wonder what his prediction is for Game 6 and possibly 7.
