I'm not sure. While I'd be all up for family orientated drama, this sounds too much like tv drama. I mean how well can you convey that kind of storyline in a two hour movie and make it accessible or interesting for all ages?

that's not exactly an unfamiliar plotline for a movie--just something we've yet to see so far in star wars.

Maybe. But power grabs and internal politics? Too loud an echo of the prequels. I know they'll avoid any similarity but the sense of 'too different' is already taking hold.

it was all so fluid in the first episode of the prequels. Who is good and who is bad? NO ONE KNOWS.
