We had a savvy kid on our block who was always trying to make a quick nickel. Every weekend she posted up at the end of her driveway trying to sell all sorts of useless things to other kids; acorns, limp dandelions, spent Roman candles, bad lemonade. As you can probably gather, this business venture wasn't very profitable. That is until her brother received Dr. Dreadful's Food Lab as a Christmas gift. Suddenly, she was raking in so much coin that she had to keep a mason jar on hand to hold all that money in one place. I could never figure out if she enlisted her brother into the production end of things against his will, or if she was stealing his product, or if she was authorized by him to use the equipment herself, but it was pretty much accepted by everyone participating in this economy that the profits were not going to be shared with anyone anytime soon. Dr. Dreadful indeed.
