Ken Andrews! [Failure / ON / Year of the Rabbit / Solo]
So... anyone here a fan? He just released the Digital Noise Academy album that seems like it has been forever in the making. I haven't heard it yet but I plan on picking it up. The single from FOUR years ago is pretty good though...

I am a fan. I would love to see him reunite Failure one of these days. Even if he doesn't, he puts on a great live show.

He has perfected the "space rock" sound I think... I'm not even sure if that is what you call it but his music has such a unique sound to me - it can be loud with a hint of electronica and catchy as hell. I don't know...

Oh man, I didn't listen to much because I didn't want to spoil it, but what I heard sounded really damn good. I'm excited.

all of this comeback albums really showcase why Josh Homme is a genius for not go back and ruining Kyuss's legacy. More people need to apply this logic.

Half-way through my first listen of the new album, and right now I'd say it's probably Failure's best record.

"Fair Light Era" is awesome.

Man, this has got to be the best '90s comeback album of the bunch. Loving it.

It took about three or four listens until it clicked for me. I definitely don't think it gets near Fantastic Planet, but that's a tall order anyway. Counterfeit Sky through Fair Light Era is the peak of the album for me. I also like the originally released Focus more than this version.

I saw Year of the Rabbit open for A Perfect Circle like 12 years ago. They were great!

I'm listening to the Year of the Rabbit album right now (for the first time). This is...very polished and poppy. I think the production is really hurting it. Though, in any case, the songwriting seems boring.

Finally listening to the "new" Failure album. Pretty good! Definitely better than I thought it would be.

They had a new album come out last month.
Well, it was 4 EP's released over the course of the year.
It was pretty good, not as good as The Heart is A Monster, let alone Fantastic Planet, but still solid.

Just saw Failure at the Warsaw in Brooklyn last week. Holy crap what a show. Seriously might have been the best sounding show I've ever been to.
I think they are getting better and better. The two comeback albums have really grown on me and the songs I heard live were freaking great.
Here's a review of the show: https://consequenceofsound.net/2019/04/ ... rsaw-3-29/
