Superman returns I liked. It's a little lifeless. Whereas Man of Steel I found to be OTT

Kevin smith had an interesting take

This film is man of steel 2

I'd disagree except superman fails on almost every task and level in this but that makes for good story.

What? How is that a take? This film is literally Man of Steel 2.

for real. I HATED everything except the first 30 minutes of Man of Steel and I can't really fathom how anyone thinks this movie is bad.

the complaints seem to revolve around the characterization, plot/motivations, and editing.
I thought it all really came together well. I guess if there were specifics I could argue why I think they worked but I don't have a lot of interest in trying to convince someone who didn't like it that they are wrong. You don't like it you don't like it. I could see someone having an issue with how Lex knew as much as he did but I think that will be answered in the Blu or sequels. I have my theories. It would be fair enough to say a movie should be complete unto itself but this is serialized movie making. Its big screen TV storytelling. I give it a pass in that sense.

I liked this movie alright, but it's definitely two movies mashed together.

My kids want to see it, and I have no concerns about content, but I don't know how to tell them that Batman vs. Superman is just too slow and complicated and that they'll spend the whole movie bored and confused.

Speaking of content, how on earth does this get to an R rating for the BluRay. Was there ANYTHING objectionable in this movie?

My nine year old loved it. No way the 5 year old would made it through the movie. He wanted to go but the answer was no.
