I really don't know. I'm gonna have to relisten. Both are okay songs--neither establishes itself as essential listening, nor do they have anything particularly unique to make them minor songs that fill in a catalog gap.

Probably gonna go with Ascent of Man, but we'll see.

Around the Sun is probably Stipe's weakest album lyrically. If you've ever listened to the itunes interview he talks a bit about his writing process a bit and the techniques he was trying. I don't think they really worked.

nope, gonna go with Marlon Brando. I think Ascent would have gotten my vote if not for the fact that Marlon Brando takes on new dimensions in the retrospective light of the retirement.
