Is that a thing?

Pretty sure Amazon does it. Just type comic subscription in the search.

I usually read my comics on my laptop, which is ok n all.. but I'm thinking about buying a Samsung tablet.. would I be able to read em on that..

I'd imagine there's n app where I can open a folder of picture files n flip thru em.. right??
I use Perfect Viewer app to read cbr/cbz in Android. Is that what you mean? As bada says, there are plenty more.

And other places. I think Marvel itself has a physical subscription service, I know they have a digital one.

Your local comic shop likely mails subscriptions too.

They aren't .cbrs or .cbzs? Those are the standard containers for comic .jpegs these days.
Either way most comic book apps are just glorified .jpeg viewers so they'll probably meet your needs and yes they let you swipe left, right, up, down, what ever you fancy. Each app should list which formats they work with.

Hmmm. Maybe grandparents can go to a shop in Ohio or Florida and get a subscription.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Do any of you nerds collect figures/statues and display them? I'll show you mine if you show me yours...

That's one nerdy tick I've been lucky enough to not be afflicted with. My 9 year old is way into it though. I have a feeling it will be a life long obsession. He has shelves full of stuff that he displays. His little brother isn't allowed to touch them and eyes them with malicious intent.

Altho, if they ever come out with a Dancing Baby Groot that actually dances, I'd probably buy it.

Upon joining the DC Entertainment panel at Emerald City Comic Con, Gerard Way announced that he's getting his own imprint at the publisher, called "DC's Young Animal."

Way said at the panel, "DC is letting me have an imprint called Young Animal. The first book is 'Doom Patrol.'" Way is writing the book, which will be illustrated by Nick Derington.

He added, "It's really weird," The book will not only pay tribute to Grant Morrison's seminal run on the series, but the entire history of the team.
Gerard Way is the My Chemical Romance singer isn't he? I don't know what kind of a comic writer he is but I do love me some Doom Patrol.

Artist/animator Darwyn Cooke has passed at the age of 53, following a battle with cancer.

Did DC just go crazy? Rebirth is nuts. Spoiler review of the comic. I'm curious to see how this impacts the movies. I think I'm excited about everything here.

I'm avoiding spoilers but the reviews seem to be really positive.

So stupid. WHy can't these companies ever have the balls to really relaunch these things? Instead they pile on the confusion, characters, timelines, gimmicks, etc.

What a jumping on point for new readers!
