That's dumb
I'm tempted, but I probably wouldn't actually say that.

I do like Adore more than SD, though.

I sometimes think that the Pumpkins were one of those you-had-to-be-there kind of bands.

Not even better than Zeitgest.
I may need to give it a serious listen. I bought the CD the day it came out and wanted to like it so much but absolutely hated it. It was so disappointing to me. There were some decent songs but the final mix seemed too loud/slick/overproduced and I don't even know what that means. I like Age of Innocence, Wound and This Time and that's about it. The demos that have surfaced make me even more disappointed by the final result - there are some great songs in there. Maybe it has aged better over time? Time to fire it up!

MACHINA is a bit longer than it needs to be, but I think it's a killer album. One of my favorite from SP.

It's funny, I would now exactly reverse my original White Lung ranking.

Also, updated Deftones:

1. Saturday Night Wrist
2. White Pony
3. Around the Fur
4. Deftones
5. Diamond Eyes
6. Adrenaline
7. Koi no yokan

It hurts me to see Reckoning and Reveal so low, especially when Collapse is in 2nd place.

Interesting how different our rankings are, we seem to like a lot of the same artists.

That is interesting, for sure. But to be fair, I've only listened to Reckoning and Reveal once each. I hated Reveal with a passion the one and only time I listened to it. But that was when it first came out.

Collapse is just a really lovely career capper. And I find myself reaching for it a lot when I'm in the mood for some REM. Part of that is its easy "greatest hits" - esque quality. But I just think the song crafting is excellent on that record and it gets extra sentimental points for being the last REM record and for not for being a pretty fucking great way to say goodbye.

You should definitely give more time to Reckoning.

That's certainly true. I'm not sure why I haven't really given it the time it deserves.

Um, you're the one with Reckoning nearly at the bottom.
