The set and costume design (I like that everything looks more low-tech compared to TFA).

The guy with the sword.

The Emperor.

Forest Whitaker.

The bad:

The mopey Star Wars theme plunked on a sad piano.

The "I rebel" line.

The girl who appears to be the star -- I'm not sold on her yet.

More Death Star.
I loved that.

I agree that some of the dialogue felt a little clunky/cheesy, but it's a teaser trailer. They're going to lean on standard tropes no matter what. Hopefully there's more to it.

But Star Wars is a visual story, so if the visuals are there and the acting is good I can give the dialogue a pass.

I think that could be killer in the right context. Could you imagine the meaning there if they she wound up defecting to the Imperials? Man.

We truly have reached lowest common denominator Star Wars if lines like that are included.
It's not cheesy in the usual acceptable Star Wars way. It's just a bad line.

Seriously dime? You don't know the context, AND, you are saying that after all of Han's cheesy lines, as well as characters such as Jar-jar Binks?

It's a teenage line.

It's on the same page as "it's true, all of it."

I'm team LV and Ruddo here, believe me (I don't care for the line but I'll happily wait for context but even if the line is just what it appears in the trailer and there is no greater context, so what it's not gonna ruin the movie), but "It's true, all of it" is such a heavier line. At least, seemingly, given what we know, without context. And a way more competent line on its face.

I'm getting the feeling that some of you don't want this to be as good or better than TFA, even though it shouldn't be a discussion as they are separate from one another. Just because of the director alone this will be a better movie, but whatever.

I like the grittier feel, for sure, as it ties in more closely to A New Hope. Though, I thought TFA looked wonderful

This looks so good. I love Star Wars. All of it and I might have to jerk off. But at I'm at work. What can I say, I rebel.

This is going to be a long wait till it's released.
