So I really enjoyed Interstellar. It was long, but I was interested the entire time, and thought it was a solid film. I guess RM, outside of me and ruddo, thinks it sucked?

Up next is the Mockingjay to wrap up the Hunger Games. The movies have been kinda lackluster for me so far, and I'm expecting pretty much the same for this final one. We'll see.

Glad you liked Interstellar.

Mockingjay part 2 really sucked, but I had to watch it because I'm a completionist.

I liked it, didn't love it.

Great story. Well shot. The script is kinda weak, the pace is strange, the dialogue is clunky and way too expository at times. But the images and the subject make up for many of those shortcomings.

I don't care for Scoot McNairy at all. Whitney Able is pretty good though.

Overall, I don't think it moved me the way it moved Ruddo and it didn't speak to me as strongly as it spoke to you. But it's a decent little movie and I enjoyed the hour and half I spent watching it.

Give it a C + leaning toward a B -. And that could definitely go up with subsequent viewings. The VFX weren't bad for such a small budget film and I loved the sentiment in the ending. The tone and theme made up for any technical faults. Really lovely ending to the piece and somewhat unexpected.

I do love a good Sandler/Barrymore romp.

I've got nothing to do today. Might as well get around to watching Montage of Heck.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't possibly imagine any new insight coming here. This feels like voyeurism. Though I must say, the peep show is expertly done. The childhood segment told by Wendy is pretty raw.

"Amy" on Amazon Prime. What struck me most was how she looked at Blake. What a shame he was such a douche.

The Barkley Marathons

A documentary about guy who creates an extreme outdoor marathon, and those that compete in it, in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee that few people finish. It's streaming on Netflix.

It's pretty straight forward with a few good bits on the nature of competition, failure, endurance, challenges.
