This probably would have made a better Vader origin story.

Re: Star Wars: The Prequels
You should all check out the anti cheese edits on YouTube. I watched them all a few months ago and they are a dramatic improvement.
They remove all the midiclorian stuff, replace all of jar jars lines with an alien language and just generally tidy them up.
I found the movies much more enjoyable.

Also, can I just say how thorough these guys are. They use guides to determine the rank of imperials and rebels and to translate any Star Wars-ese text in the trailer.
AND, they caught that the laser was already installed during early construction in Episode 3.

Re: Star Wars: The Prequels
I mean, we've already seen one Disney-era Star Wars film, and it included just one very tiiiiiny callback to the prequels. I get the sense that these films will try to avoid direct references but will, eventually, have to contradict those films to tell a more engaging story. So the whole "laser" thing is really the tiniest point imaginable. But that's Star Wars fandom for you.

How can he survive in the cartoon, but not in Episode I? Aren't both cannon and a contradiction??durdencommatyler wrote:SPOILER THAT.... never mind. Everyone already knows. Yeah, that is cool.E.H. Ruddock wrote:So in Rebels, Darth Maul survives?

My pal Bronagh has one of the first speaking parts in Phantom menace. She gave me one of those production windbreakers with the Star Wars logo and day 53 embroidered on it. I used to wear that thing all the time. Then I saw the film. Never wore that shit ever again.

I feel bad cuz he was a kid, but he was just awful as an actor.
Hayden wasn't a bad actor. He just had shit to work with. Those movies also made Samuel L Jackson and Natalie Portman (and Ewan McGregor, much of the time) wooden as hell, too

Nah stip. to the kid gets a pass. He was fine and totally believable and again, worked off what he was told to do.
Hayden should have followed the Harrison ford directive. Ignore the line and direction you're being given. Just deliver the line you want to deliver.
Wonderful piece about Ford doing that in the force awakens doco.
Sad to see where this guy is now.
