I was taking a pitcher with that pick and there wasn't much available. I think my other real option was Collin McHugh.

When does Buchholz hit the disabled list? If he's not there by May 15th, I'll be shocked.

Three things:

1. Porcello was dealing last night; more of that, please!

2. Team Vasquez.

I taught my wife what the word "shipping" means, pop-culture-wise, and tonight she told me that she's "shipping Brock Holt and Brian Butterfield."

Also: I am avowed and unapologetic Remy fan, and I'll take you all on...but I really like the Eck-O'Brien dynamic.

Listen, I want Orsillo back as much as the next guy, but they could have done a lot worse than O'Brien in terms of his replacement.

Pretty sure O'Brien was involved in what happened to Orsillo, so I have no use for him, I dont care if he's the best PBP guy that ever walked the earth.

O'Brien is the radio guy for 10 years, and then all of sudden after 10 years they decide "hey, we like this guy better than Don."

I think he took that radio job expecting to get the TV job after a few years, and when it became apparent Don was never going to leave regardless of what offers he got, he weaseled his way into that position. I have no proof to back me up other than instinct but I dont care, I dont have to like the guy.

I dont see how this is a radical theory. It's easily plausible.
