Ha, it's not explained at all. It's a double-edged sword -- it's nice to not have to mess around with tutorials, but there's also a LOT you have to figure out on your own.
Yup, which is why I didn't mess with it that much. The armor/power suit repair is especially confusing.

I kinda like that this series doesn't really hold your hand through every function. That would have been the safe move for such a big release. Because a good RPG should confuse the fuck out of you for the first few dozen hours  .

I dunno I got the hang of it pretty quickly. Then again I like fucking around with things.

My mission right now is to build enough robots to run a settlement so the settlers can jus chill

It's a constant battle deciding whether I want to go out and explore and fight bad guys, or just hang at my settlement and tinker in the shop.

Eventually you run out of enough materials and have to venture out for caps and scraps

hahaha nice. I'm doing a Pyro build after I finish this first playthough. I'm going all strength right now.

I just came upon a really cool PvP loaciton. I think I'm around the middle part of the game.

I'm a little confused about what stats I should focus on when building my character (other than Intelligence and Faith). Google searches tend to confuse me more. I guess I will just need to explore and experiment more. I've only made it just past the Firelink Shrine.

How old are your kids, M_D? Do you find it difficult to make time for gaming?

No kids yet. I usually play while my wife is making dinner or after she goes to bed (11-12:30 or so). She travels quite a bit for work and works late often so I will play when she is gone.

Oh, okay. I think I was thinking that renovation you were doing a while back.

Thank heavens that is over. Next on the agenda is landscaping. At least that can only be done during the day.
