Ooh...Let the Records Play...good one.

Leash....I like the way it sounds but "DELIGHT IN OUR YOUTH!!!! WE ARE YOUNG! YEAH!" or whatever Eddie is singing is kinda <_<

Surprised to see so much dislike for Thumbing My Way.

Yeah I definitely don't get the Ghost love? Force of Nature though I think is awesome

Oh but I forgot one in my main post, thank you somebody for mentioning it.

I HAAAAAAATE I Am Mine! I hate it!!! It wouldn't be so bad but it was a single and its on their greatest hits album and they play it in concert a lot. I think that song is just so boring. I don't mind the sound of the start, but the chorus kills it for me. I do like the little musical interludes but that's about it. That has to be their worst single IMO.

I can see Nothing As It Seems...when I first hear it Im like "ooh what's this? This is interesting" it doesn't sound like other PJ songs. And those verse are pretty cool.

But then the chorus is kind of a let down? It's ok at first but the song goes on and overstays its welcome IMO, I rarely am interested by the end.

So while I respect the song's overall vibe, I think its an imperfect product in the end. I do end up bored with it by the end.

Overall though I dont dislike it.

There are actually a couple of PJ songs from the middle era ruined by weak choruses which is strange. I Am Mine and Nothing As It Seems both could be a lot better with better choruses (the first one I hate the second one is just weakened)

But its not just them.

Red Mosquito's verse are much cooler than the chorus which is kind of a letdown IMO. I feel like there are more examples Im just not thinking of right now where a song has cool verses and then the chorus falls flat and makes the song weaker as a result.

I feel the same way about I Am Mine.

More importantly, what the hell does "<_<" mean? You show up outta nowhere, start speaking your own language...Pretty ballsy, mikejasond

a more fleshed out list of album cuts:

#1: Future Days

Everything else:
Light Years
Thin Air
Love Boat Captain
Force of Nature
In Hiding
Save You
Inside Job
Got Some
Gone

There are some songs that I like the parts better than the whole, so therefore left them off my list bc they do have redeeming factors:

I'm Open (would like this more as an instrumental)
Bushleaguer (again, take out Ed's vocals and there's a solid song in there)

Least favorite? I don't know, but I hardly ever listen to these songs anymore.

Release
Black
Oceans
Jeremy
Alive
Once
Daughter
Dissident
WMA
Small Town
Leash
Indifference
Not For You
Corduroy
Immortality
Wishlist
Parting Ways
Love Boat Captain
Thumbing My Way
Inside Job
Just Breathe
Amongst the Waves
Unthought Known
Sleeping By Myself
Future Days

I like to rock, these songs don't rock like I like to rock.

That chorus is perfect.

I really don't mind Ed's vocals on Bu$hleaguer, in fact I actually like 'em. Seems to me to paint a pretty good picture of politicians and politics, although not the most insightful lyrics, I think that may actually be a good thing, for when one gets too deep into politics and political insight they often times seem to lose sight of how fucked up the whole system really is.

That chorus is perfect.

NaiS is one really, really long drone. It's just a very long note to give Mike a base to solo around. And all he does is shred. There's virtually no sense of anything melodic to his solo in this at all.* The verse is totally monotone and there is hardly any dynamics in the song at all. The chord walk-down isn't nearly enough to give any kind of life to this song. The whole song is one long, lifeless drone. I hate it.

*I feel the same way about his solo in Even Flow. I love the song, but at this point, I'd rather hear Stone play a solo. I anti-love Mike's solo section in this song so much these days.

As long as I live, I will never understand what people don't like about the Evacuation chorus.

These ones don't hit the spot for me for various reasons:

Footsteps
Yellow Ledbetter
Angel
Nothingman
I'm Open
Low Light
Driftin'
Breakerfall
Parting Ways
Light Years
Save You
Thumbing My Way
Down
Undone
World Wide Suicide
Come Back
Got Some
Unthought Known
Force of Nature
Sirens
Pendulum
Sleeping By Myself
Yellow Moon
Future Days

I also really, really can't stand their cover of Love Reign O'er Me.

The Ed solo version didn't bother me but I think Sleeping By Myself is my least favourite Pearl Jam song of all time, even considering Future Days.

Habit, Comatose, I'm open. These are the songs I actively dislike and/or hate.
Sweet Lew is forgettable but goofy enough to be fun.
Stupid Mop is a wonderful art collage. I don't listen to it often but it's great for what it is.
Life Wasted, I don't care for that but I don't actively hate it either.

...

I think that about covers it.
