I don't think RATM have aged well. Then again, maybe I'm not as full of teenage angst as I once was. I hear all that angst paid off well for a lot of the 90's bands.

I just watched the Live at Finsbury Park show. What a great story that is about overtaking the X Factor Christmas single.

I think they've aged quite well for me. All of their songs still seem quite topical and relevant.

ZDLR's flow has definitely improved since their debut (which would reasonably hope would be the case) but yeah, their message is just as potent now if not more so.

Roaming Twitter tonight and found a guy who's tweeting links to RATM songs and hashtagging them with #Trump2016. I think, uh, that you're doing it wrong.

The guitar in Know Your Enemy sounds just like a police siren at one point.
That's not in the background, though, Traga...

I think it's Starla... Oh, wait!

Listened to a good chunk of Evil Empire the other day for the first time in years. Reminded me of when I was still in high school and scored tickets close to the stage for a show on the Beastie Boys/RATM 2000 tour that got cancelled because Mike D broke a leg or something. Life's been monotonically downhill since then.

I saw them in '99 at Rosemont -- I was looking forward to some vintage ZDLR political rants, but he barely said a word. Tensions were high at that point I guess. The show was pretty good though.

I never listen to these guys anymore.

The bass playing on "No Shelter" in the Live at the Grand Olympic release is ridiculous. Love Timmy C.

I also had tickets for the Beastie Boys/Rage tour. One of the great "what-ifs" of my musical life...

I did get to see them at a reunion show at Randall's Island about 7 years ago.
