People waited in line for upwards of 5 hours to vote in the Arizona primary. The Voting Rights Act was recently overturned. Voter ID laws that disproportionately affect poor and minority people are all the rage now.

I was talking about people in the government and the obscenely wealthy, not the US population as a whole - which is mostly Christian (radical or not) anyway. I think the fact that they are doing everything that they can to prevent minorities from voting at all is pretty scandalous in and of itself, and tends to make the "people voted for us so it's the people's will" excuse seem pathetically self-serving in hindsight.

That's a very fair criticism, I definitely wasn't considering any difficulties in being able to actually cast a vote.
