Not sure if there are a lot of us that love that song, but i definitely do

And for a song that i do like but it seems most love would be insignificance. its a good song, good live song as well, but not one i love or really need to listen to all that often, though like with i am mine, i did wear it out pretty bad because i got the nais single before the album came out and listened to those 2 songs a ton
people seem to not often feel neutral about FoN.
we are just trying to forget about it
I hope they play it at every show this next tour

Parachutes reminds me of John Lennon's mellower solo work in some ways, stuff like #9 Dream and Mind Games.

Yes you should, but that's ok.

This is the place where we air this out.. thin air it out.
This feels like a safe place, so I'll go ahead and admit that I like Tremor Christ, but I don't love it as much as most people seem to.
well, sorry, but for this one you will be crucified

I still think "I Am Mine" sounds like a bad Creed outtake. Sorry, folks.

Regardless of your wrong opinion, should you like it? Are you into similar-sounding songs? I feel this thread got derailed pretty bad.
It just seems that's the most consistently praised song from that album (on this board at least). But it does nothing for me.

So that's how I answered it.
But if I answer it the other way, I still feel I should like it. Although I can't think of any songs in the same vein right now, I generally like acoustic stuff.

For tommymctom, here's my least favorite in no order:

Speed of Sound
Army Reserve
Parachutes
Cropduster
Ghost
You Are
Get Right
Green Disease
Insignificance
Grievance
Sleight of Hand
Pilate
Mankind
Rearviewmirror
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Who the fuck can not like insignificance? It's one of the best things Pearl Jam has ever done.

"Cropduster" is a brilliant song and I'm sure they would play it more often if half of the band could be bothered to learn it.

The lady doth protest too much, methinks. I don't accept your position about the intent of the thread. I believe that both ways of looking at the original proposition are equally valid - songs that a large proportion of everyone else likes but you don't (and if you're here posting on a PJ Board isn't it reasonable to expect that most here would enjoy most PJ tunes?) as well as songs that you dislike even though they are similar to other songs that you do like.

So sure, I rag on parachutes often where as it appears to have a pretty strong following around here. However, I am certainly a fan of much of the Beatles stuff, and John Lennon's Mind Games in particular was mentioned previously as a reasonable comparison, a tune that I do enjoy. I think my problem with this one then is that I don't have any interest in my PJ doing songs in this style.

And how the hell can you not just love everything about All or None? That's just crazy talk there.

For me it is one i like but don't love, but as i said earlier, its probably mostly from early overkill when i had the nais single before the album came out

I'm listening to it now. It sounds soupy and brickwalled. Ed's lyrics sound mumbled and tired.

Off He Goes.
I love slow, acoustic folky-narrative driven songs but Off He Goes just misses the mark.
It's a hard question because I've switched from loving to hating back to loving alot of songs. Pearl Jam is very mood and circumstance based for me.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

Do you not like the song or the performance/recording of it?
